What is the unique problem or situation your product or service solves?

We provide truly natural products that are fun and sophisticated at a price that is very attainable.

What in hindsight would you say you underestimated about this particular industry or running your own business and why?

Since this is the first time Ive started a company, the only thing that I think I underestimated the most was the cost to start up a business and all of the little minute details of running a successful operating business.

What is the best business related advice you have ever been given?

The best business advice I’ve received is from a family member telling me, “Treat your business like a baby. You will spend most of your time and money feeding it and cleaning up after it.”

What were the hardest barriers in getting your idea off the ground?

One of the hardest barriers I hit was being taken seriously as a business woman and finalizing product development.

What do you enjoy best about being an entrepreneur?

Two of the things I prize most about being an entrepreneur is being in charge of my own destiny and making my own decisions.

Do you feel becoming an entrepreneur has helped you grow as a person? If so – how?

I have definitely grown as a person since becoming an entrepreneur due to the fact that I’m happy with what I’m doing. When you are fulfilled in life it makes it a lot easier to want to help others succeed in their endeavors and to completely appreciate the hard work it takes to start and maintain your own company.

Where can people learn more about your company?

We are totally integrated with social media including Facebook and Twitter, we have a website www.lulublossom.com with an online store, and an up and coming blog that focuses on how to live a healthy life. We are in a few retail locations in the midwest and are also doing craft and trade shows with goals of spreading nationally.

If you had to share one final thought with our audience of thousands of women in business – what would it be?

The best piece of advice I could give any entrepreneur is to trust your gut, don’t be afraid of the unknown because you are smart enough to figure it out!
