Meshelle, Baltimore born and raised business woman and entrepreneur and the “Indie Mom Of Comedy” brings her one-woman cabaret performance “Funny, Fierce & Fabulous” to Creative Alliance, April 25, 2015 at 8pm. A native Baltimorean, Meshelle is an off-Broadway award winning comedienne/actress whose television appearances include Nickelodeon, STARz, BET, TV-ONE, ABC and NBC.

For her cabaret offering; think… Liza Minnelli, Carol Burnett, Lena Horn, and Gladys Knight, all being upstaged by Lucille Ball and Jackie “Moms” Mabley! Before she heads back to NYC for an extended run of her award winning one woman show, “Diary Of A MILF: Mom I’d Love to FOLLOW, Meshelle is stopping by to share a night of hilarity filled with stand up and stories of growing up in Baltimore’s Park Heights community and the dichotomy of life after her families’ move to the Northwest suburbs (County). Meshelle will sing the soundtrack of her life that poised her to become the “Indie-Mom of Comedy”. Show tunes, gospel standards, R&B and Broadway classics make for an unforgettable evening of entertainment with a few surprises along the way!

Meshelle will be accompanied by Mike Scott & Friends ( percussions, piano, guitar). Scott, the noted Musical Director of the United States Naval Academy Gospel Choir, has recorded and directed numerous Grammy award winning Gospel Artists. Proceeds of this performance will go to support Meshelle’s not-for-profit organization, Goaldiggers The Sankofa Project (A Fusion Partnership Program), connecting inner-city teen girls of African descent to education and college access by introducing them to the study of their ancestry and ethnic identity reinforcing a positive self-concept.
