Nominate a deserving Woman at the 5th Annual Awards and Power Luncheon
Award recipients and finalists must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Many of these women are also leaders in key organizations that support the growth of women’s entrepreneurship.
MEA Magazine, a publication of the award-winning organization Minority Enterprise Executive Council, hosted a prestigious luncheon recognizing 50 Women of Influence and Power on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The theme was “Applauding Courage and Success.” This event honored fifty of the most successful women business leaders across the United States.
Pimlico Race Course and the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, announced today a partnership to raise funds to aid awareness and research to take place on Black-Eyed Susan Day, Friday, May 20, 2011. 75% of the funds raised will go to the Komen Maryland Affiliate to use for community outreach programs in Maryland and 25% will be used for life-saving breast cancer research.
