Boomers, especially women, are expected to create the next economic wave as they start small businesses to supplement retirement income AND create meaningful second careers. Record numbers of boomers are rethinking retirement and opting for better work/life balance. Is entrepreneurship the answer?

It is for many boomers, according to a number of recent studies by The Kauffman Foundation, cited by course developer and leader, Joanne M. Saltzberg, CLU, ChFC, and CEO of WEB. Ms. Saltzberg, a recognized expert in business planning and women’s economic issues, developed the Boomer & Business program to provide boomer-age women and men a structured framework for exploring entrepreneurship as an option for a meaningful and financially secure second career.

The eight-week course will cover the major start-up issues affecting any small business and the financial and lifestyle concerns specific to boomers. Both practical and inspirational, Boomers & Business will offer practical tools for assessing the viability of business ownership based on personal and financial goals and circumstances.

Course Features:
Small Group
24 Hours of Classroom Instruction
2 individual counseling sessions with business experts

Specialized Curriculum covering:
Financial and Retirement Planning Considerations
Personal and Financial Goal Setting
