Janet Amirault, CEO of Software Consortium, Named WIPP AT&T Innovator of the Year

Janet Amirault, CEO of Software Consortium (SCI), has been named the Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) AT&T Innovator of the Year.

The award, which recognizes the WIPP member who has effectively leveraged technology for innovation and success in business, was presented to Amirault at the organization’s annual congressional luncheon in Washington, D.C. today (July 19). Under Amirault’s leadership, Software Consortium has helped regional clients like MedStar Health, Johns Hopkins, GEICO, Department of Energy, and M&T Bank, leverage the newest technologies and processes to increase revenue, safety and lower costs. The company’s latest wins are with mobile applications for customers.

“I am honored to receive this prestigious award from WIPP, which is in the forefront of advocating economic opportunities for women,” Janet Amirault said in a statement. “This award is a tribute to the outstanding Software Consortium team that includes our numerous partners. WIPP is a national nonpartisan public policy organization that advocates on behalf of nearly 1 million women-owned businesses. The organization provides timely economic policy information and identifies important trends and opportunities to its membership.

Along with her WIPP AT&T Innovator of the Year award, Janet was recently awarded with the Small Business Person of the Year award by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
