March 8 2012: MayHAC’s Annual Health Care Provider Conference

MayHAC, the area’s only compliance firm dedicated to the sustained compliance and marketing of Maryland health care providers is sponsoring their Annual Provider Upgrade Conference: Improving Accountable Practices. This year’s conference will take place at the JHH’s Mt Washington Conference Center, located at 5801 Smith Avenue. Baltimore, MD 21209. This year MayHAC’s conference really packs a powerful punch as confirmed speakers include MD Secretary of Aging, Gloria Lawlah, State Inspector General, Thomas Russell, Asst. Inspector General, Susan Steinberg, Department of Aging Community Liaison, Maryam Baharloo, and President of Ankota, Will Hicklen. Invited guests include Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, Maryland Medicaid, MyCity4Her.com founder, Monyka Berrocossa and The Health Care Compliance Association. Always an enthusiastic and inspiring speaker, Shereese Maynard, MayHAC’s CEO and writer for Baltimore Health Examiner will be presenting tips from her very popular articles, 2012 predictions: What Providers should be preparing for (http://bit.ly/ynJMGO) and Best Practices for Health Care Marketing & Referrals.

This event sells out each year and is attended by current and prospective home health, mental health, staffing, and DME providers. This has been touted the “It” event for Maryland providers and those who seek Maryland provider licensing as it goes into the nitty-gritty of running the business. It’s also then only event where providers can personally meet and receive valuable information from the various regulating bodies which govern their practice. MayHAC’s CEO states, “We think it is incumbent upon us, MD providers, and regulators to come together in a non-adversarial way to discuss and plan for the imposed changes to Maryland’s health care landscape. Similar events around the country cost thousands of dollars and in this economy; that’s not a viable option for most providers. We thought of a way to educate and energize providers, while ensuring the message of regulators gets out. We look forward to producing this event each year and our feedback tells us that it’s helping a lot of providers and making the job of regulators easier.”
