Nia Baltimore and partners invite you to The Sisterhood Beat 6/26/2015

On Friday June 26, 2015 Nia Baltimore founder and director Lola Manekin, along with other fellow women business owners invite you to join in “The Sisterhood Beat“. This event promises a radical approach to creating a sensory experience around community, purpose and perspective.

A group of baltimore businesswomen and NIA enthusiasts will come together for an evening of centered around Nia – a sensory based fitness class, and lifestyle practice that blends dance, healing arts & martial arts. Along with that, you will have access to the eats and goods sponsors will be offering that night.  To learn about NIA Baltimore, click here. Other vendors, companies that will be involved include Full Moon Acupuncture and Apothecary, 3Clothing, CorDal Woodworking, Pure chocolate by Jinji, Priya Means Love, Zia’s Cafe & Juice bar and Plant Bar. MyCity4HER is honored to be a media sponsor.

Nia Baltimore Founder Lola Manekin had this to say about the event “This event is designed to be all about empowerment, community, and having a really good time…Nia is a practice that recognizes the unique spirit of each individual, including emotions and the mind, all as a part of the workout. So we are thinking it would be super cool to offer this, and then extend the shopping and socializing opportunity as a bonus!” The young mother of two has grown quite a following for NIA organically since deciding to take the training four years ago. She is credited with actively bringing the practice here and personally mentoring several other women to pursue further education in the technique to allow more people to benefit from the wellness practice.

The event will be held rain or shine at Union Mill, a property located in the heart of Hampden. Tickets will be $25 and available at the door. The event will go from 5-8:30pm.
