Oncology Foundation To Host Public Cancer Forum Saturday November 5

The Oncology Foundation of Maryland/DC is hosting a Public Cancer Forum on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley,MD. The event is open to the community at no charge, although donations are gratefully accepted. The Forum, entitled “Research, Resources and Recovery” will provide the latest information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We encourage those interested in learning more about cancer to attend as the foundation for the event is creating awareness.

The program will feature educational presentations by physician members of the Maryland/DC Society of Clinical Oncology and other experts on various topics, including the role of genetics, treatment options, clinical trials, and resources for patients and their families.

The event will begin with a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by the presentations and question and answer sessions.

Nonprofit organizations from the cancer care community will have exhibits and there will be an optional strategic alliance building luncheon for exhibitors.
