Heidi Klotzman, CEO of HeidnSeek Entertainment LLC, is part of the group of young do-gooders behind SHADE, an annual benefit (always held at a secret location) to benefit Baltimore’s summer jobs program, Youthworks Baltimore. The young CEO who is considered one of the Baltimore business community’s most active and trend forward entrepreneurs had this to say about her involvement.
“I’ve only been able to accomplish what I have in my life because of opportunities I have been given. We can all do our part to make sure more of our young people are afforded those opportunities. It can make all the difference in their futures. The YouthWorks Baltimore summer jobs program makes this happen. It’s an honor to support an event that funds this mission.” says Klotzman
This year’s event will be hosted by best selling author and Baltimore golden boy Wes Moore and promises amazing music, great libations, epic people watching and more.
Organizer Zach Daniels (who works with high profile law firm Murphy Falcon, which is handling the Freddie Gray case) has this to say when asked how it started
“It grew out of discussions on how to improve activities in the city (especially around the Preakness). Bring Baltimore together socially and give back at the same time. Those discussions took place between Damian O’Doherty, Steve Kearney of K & O Public Affairs, Joe Loverde from Mission Tix, Scott Burkholder for the Love Project, and myself. The idea to have it benefit YouthWorks came from Kaleope Parthemos, who is currently the Mayors Chief of Staff. While we are all busy and focused on different things, we are all committed to the City of Baltimore”
