Tracy Gold’s debut picture book, “Everyone’s Sleepy but the Baby,” is helping Babies build their library

Baltimore author, and working Mom, Tracy C. Gold is donating a copy of
her debut board book, “Everyone’s Sleepy but the Baby,” to families in need via ShareBaby, for every preordered copy. “Everyone’s Sleepy but the Baby” will be published by Familius on March 16, 2021. This board book will help families smile when they are struggling with trying to get their baby to sleep.

Author Tracy C. Gold was inspired to write this book when she was a
new mom suffering many sleepless nights of her own. Illustrator Adèle Dafflon adds humor to the rhythmic text with her portrayal of the exhausted family and bubbly baby.

When Gold was struggling with her newborn, she received goods from ShareBaby via the Maryland Family Tree’s Family Connects program, which inspired her to give back to babies in need. A nurse visited Gold’s home and helped her learn to care for her baby while she recovered
from a C-section. “I want to help families spark a lifelong love of reading,” Gold says of the reasoning behind the donation. “Every baby deserves to have books in their home.”

Founded in 2014 by local moms, ShareBaby partners with community organizations such as House of Ruth Maryland, International Rescue Committee, and Healthcare for the Homeless to distribute baby goods to families in need. Readers should email purchase receipts to tcgpreorders@gmail.com to have purchases counted toward donation. Gold hopes to donate several hundred books. More details about the preorder
campaign can be found at tracycgold.com/preorders.

Advance Praise for “Everyone’s Sleepy but the Baby”
“Gold’s gentle, rhythmic text and Dafflon’s bright and lively illustrations combine for a perfect bedtime read for sleepy parents and (eventually) sleepy babies. Bonus: it’s just the right length for that ‘one last bedtime story’ that sets the mood for sleep. I am looking forward to adding it to
my go-to baby shower gift list.”
