The Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce had a sold out Mixer last night to introduce the new Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs Zanita Wickham-Zurley at woman-owned Zen West Cafe in Baltimore City North. The new Secretary and her recently appointed Deputy Secretary were on hand to clarify some questions related to highlight the new MBE Reauthorization Law and how it impacts Hispanic-owned small businesses as well as discuss her work over the last six months to ensure minority and women-owned businesses in Maryland have higher share in state contracting.
Throughout its nearly 20-year history, the Chamber has enjoyed outstanding working relationships with the Governor, the state legislature and its leaders, Members of Maryland’s Congressional delegation and the current and former White House Administrations. The Maryland Hispanic Chamber prides itself on being the state’s premier go-to networking organisation for Hispanic Business owners as well as anyone seeking to target this increasingly affluent and influential demographic.

Walters (1-2-3- Business Consulting), Brian Cohen (Wells Fargo Investments) and Odette Ramos (Chairwoman of the Baltimore City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) among others.

A very special event is coming up on September 27, 2012 where in honor of National Hispanic Month the MDHCC will host the annual Hispanic Heritage event which will this year be honoring Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez at the Educational Based Latino Outreach (EBLO) facility located at 600 South Ann Street, 21231 on Thursday, September 27th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. . Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez is on faculty at the University of Maryland Hospital and recently performed a ground breaking full facial transplant on a wounded veteran injured in the Iraqi war. The Chamber is honored to recognize Dr. Rodriguez’s outstanding achievements and dedication to his profession.
