MyCit4HER was born of events. Our Founder, Monyka Berrocosa, first launched The Women’s Wine & Dine in 2007. At the time, very few events existed that were focused on women in business.

From a humble beginning of merely 36 women in a restaurant in Baltimore, the continuing women-only wine series grew within two years to hosting events for up to 450 women. MyCity4HER events consistently sell-out four star venues, and attract a different kind of successful woman. One who wants to be inclusive, collaborative, and helpful to her fellow businesswomen.

In 2007, seeing that the bulk of her audience was women business owners, women professionals and community leaders, Monyka decided to create a community just for them. This is how we became MyCity4HER. 

At the time, events for women in business were limited to boring networking breakfasts, and business lunches. Monyka, who came from an event background, had a vision to do something different. She wanted to create an environment where any woman business, woman founder, or woman business owner could feel welcome, appreciated, respected, and heard. Early on, MyCity4HER events set a different kind of table, one where everyone has a seat, and everyone has the opportunity to connect, be inspired, and learn from each other.
