2nd Annual Red Devils Bull and Oyster Roast – 11/19!

Red Devils Host Second Annual Bull and Oyster Roast to Benefit Maryland Families Living with Breast Cancer

After a sold-out event last year, the Red Devils have brought back the Bull and Oyster Roast slated for November 19th from 7 to 11 p.m. at Columbus Gardens in Baltimore. The Baltimore-based charity expects tickets will go fast for what promises to be a fabulous evening of all-you-can-eat bull and oyster roast fair, complete with unlimited beer and wine for $40 a person.

According to executive director of The Red Devils, Jan Wilson, what makes The Red Devils Bull and Oyster Roast so special is the unbelievable array of prizes guests can compete for during the evening’s raffle. “We’re fortunate to have so many businesses and individuals donate fantastic merchandise and prizes. There’s something for everybody, and with the raffle format, everyone has a chance to win, not just the highest bidder.”

Guests that evening can purchase chances to win a Ravens game ball autographed by Joe Flacco; a week’s stay in a well-appointed, six bedroom beach house in Duck on the Outer Banks; Hippodrome tickets for Shrek the Musical; a stunning piece of jewelry donated by Radcliffe’s; a weekend at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City; a limousine ride and dinner package courtesy of American Limousines; two tickets to the Terps versus Duke men’s basketball game; an evening at the Peralynna Manor, complete with dinner at King’s Contrivance; libations from The Wine Source in Hampden; and a host of other tempting prizes.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.the-red-devils.org and proceeds will go to The Red Devils, a home-grown breast cancer charity.

About the Red Devils

A 501 (c) (3) non-profit founded in Baltimore City in 2002, The Red Devils gets its name from the breast cancer treatment drug Adriamycin® that packs a devilish punch. The Red Devils compliments groups aimed at raising funds for treatments and cures by focusing on the day-to-day needs of breast cancer patients. The goal is to improve the quality of life for MD breast cancer patients and families living with breast cancer.

Red tape is dispensed in favor of giving support directly to patients who need it most regardless of financial circumstance. This is because “cancer affects each person in different ways”, says Wilson. Each year, The Red Devils makes an immediate and profound impact on the lives of more than 500 families by funding transportation to treatment, meals and groceries, house cleaning, medical expenses and treatment-related therapies, and other critical needs which improve a families quality of life as they battle breast cancer. Funds raised from the Bull and Oyster Roast go directly to support those families.

In 2006, the fledgling charity was featured in an issue of Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine and later was included in a glossy, coffee table book published by Harpo Productions that featured the entertainment mogul’s “100 Favorite Stories” to have been featured in the publication.  The Red Devils is funded through grassroots fundraisers, individual and corporate donations and grants from groups including the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
