MEA Magazine, a publication of the award-winning organization Minority Enterprise Executive Council, hosted a prestigious luncheon recognizing 50 Women of Influence and Power on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The theme was “Applauding Courage and Success.” This event honored fifty of the most successful women business leaders across the United States.
Ms. Linda Y. Cureton, Chief Information Officer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration was the keynote speaker and honoree. As CIO of NASA, Ms. Cureton has the authority and accountability for ensuring that NASA’s information assets are selected, controlled and evaluated consistent with federal policies, procedures and legislation. Maryland State Delegate Herman Taylor was a guest speaker. Delegate Taylor is the Vice Chairman of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and Chairman of the Unemployment Insurance Subcommittee of the Maryland House of Delegates.
