Carlton Fields Tops Vault.com’s Law Firm Diversity Rankings For Women and Minorities

The results are in and Carlton Fields has topped Vault.com‘s law firm diversity rankings. The firm claims the top spot for the fourth year running for its overall diversity initiatives.

The rankings are the result of a survey taken earlier this year by nearly 17,000 law firm associates, who rated their employers on a variety of issues, including diversity initiatives and recruitment efforts with respect to minority, women and LGBT attorneys. A formula that weighs the average scores in all three rankings is used to determine the Top Law Firms for Overall Diversity,

“Evaluating firms’ efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace is a fundamental aspect of the Vault survey,” Rachel Marx, law editor of Vault.com, said in a statement. “A firm’s commitment to diversity is a key metric for quality of life issues. Vault’s Diversity Rankings allow candidates to gauge the level of their potential employers’ commitment to diversity, as perceived by current associates at the firms.”\

In addition to earning the distinction as the top firm for Overall Diversity, Carlton Fields also celebrated its fourth straight year at No. 1 in Diversity for Women and in Diversity for Minorities. Associates were proud of Carlton Fields’ efforts to promote diversity, stating the firm “was focused on these matters before they became buzzwords.”
