Junior Achievement of Central Maryland (JA), a non-profit organization which annually serves more than 33,000 students throughout Central Maryland, will present JA Jams: A Benefit Concert featuring Chicago, Wednesday, May 15, at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.

Approximately 2,450 attendees are expected to gather for this powerful live show with Chicago: the Grammy Award-winning rock group which is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five decades. Twenty-five of their 33 albums have been certified platinum and include 11 number-one singles.

“This is our inaugural year for the event, and we hope the popularity and visibility of the band will be a great draw and allow us to spread the word and get more people engaged in the work we are doing to create a brighter future for the youth of Maryland,” said JA Jams Chair Troy Brewer, vice president-investment with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC and a JA board member.

When doors open at 6:30 p.m., guests will be entertained by a Maryland band or chorus performing in the lobby. JA students will serve as greeters and ushers, and participate in a brief on-stage program before the concert commences at approximately 7:30 p.m.

A “Meet the Artists” dessert reception for up to 200 VIP guests will follow, during which time JA plans to raffle off a guitar autographed by Chicago band members. All JA Jams proceeds will directly support JA’s efforts to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

General admission tickets, at $90, $80 and $65 per person, are on sale through Ticketmaster or JAJams.org.  Sponsorships and VIP ticket packages, which include premium seating and entrance to the post-concert reception, are available by calling JA at 443-394-7211 or emailing Kim Denis at kdenis@jamaryland.org.
