Savoir Media Announces Expansion, Re-Launch of Website

Savoir Media, an award-winning strategic communications firm, is pleased to announce the re-launch of the company as it embarks on an expansion that includes the opening of an office in Washington, D.C. and additional marketing services to meet clients’ growing digital media needs.

The Massachusetts-based company is also unveiling a revamped website, www.savoirmedia.com, which showcases client stories in a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology and business services that Savoir Media has worked on since its inception in 2006. Savoir Media has forged partnerships with many clients, using its signature Total Media Plan®, to help organizations share stories in all forms of media, from online and social media to traditional outlets in broadcast and print.

Savoir Media’s entrance into Washington allows the company to extend its expertise in the technology, healthcare and government sectors.  The opening of the new office is being led by Ella Aglipay Delio, who recently joined Savoir Media as Executive Vice President and whose global experience working with social and women entrepreneurs, developing investor networks, and marketing brands adds depth and dimension to Savoir Media’s programs.

“Savoir Media’s goal as a company has always been to find innovative ways of using communications to support and enhance the business initiatives of our clients,” said Christine Dunn, founder and President of Savoir Media. “The re-launch of Savoir Media marks an important step towards providing our clients with greater access to the unique skills and commitment of our experienced team.”

Each member of Savoir Media’s executive team brings more than a decade of experience in their fields. Ms. Dunn founded Savoir Media after leading the consumer/retail, mutual funds and education teams for Bloomberg News, and serving as the company’s Bureau Chief in Boston, Bloomberg’s second-largest market in North America. In addition to her work for Savoir Media, Ms. Dunn recently began writing the “Dollar for Dollar” personal finance blog for The Boston Globe’s Boston.com website.

Ms. Delio joined Savoir Media from World Resources Institute (WRI),

where she served as Global Director of the New Ventures initiative and oversaw the program in the emerging markets of Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia and Mexico.  New Ventures is WRI’s center for environmental entrepreneurship, which provides business development services to innovative environmental enterprises.  She also worked for Procter & Gamble Co. in the Philippines, where she managed the Healthcare and Food and Beverages brands.

Joan DeCoste, who is spearheading Savoir Media’s public relations outreach program, has served as a marketing and corporate communications manager at companies including

Dynisco Inc. and Johnston Consulting Co.

Karen Kristin joined Savoir Media with extensive  experience in public relations, marketing and research for companies such as Monitor, Rogers Communications and General Dynamics. She has also worked on conference and event planning projects for Federal trade shows on behalf of US government agencies.

Katie Bonner came to Savoir Media after a career designing and developing technical training curriculums for Java/Oracle-based applications at such firms as Yantra Corp. and Gartner Learning/NETg. She currently oversees content development and Social Media/blog outreach for Savoir Media.

Christine Muir designs the information architecture used to support Savoir Media’s operations. She also applies her skills as a Reference Librarian to provide Savoir Media clients with essential research, and to assist them with developing content, for their media relations and marketing programs.

“The Savoir Media team structure is unique because each member offers a different, yet complementary, set of skills that allows us to comprehensively research, analyze and develop communications strategies that help our clients achieve their marketing and business objectives,” said Ms. Delio. “It also allows us to proactively serve our customers because in today’s digital age, media doesn’t stop.”

In addition to public relations and content development, Savoir Media offers media training, social media and online strategy, and graphic design. Clients have the option of choosing a single service or creating an integrated media program using Savoir Media’s Total Media Plan®.

Savoir Media’s geographic and service expansion highlights the strong track record that the company has achieved during the past five years. In 2009, Savoir Media was awarded “Best Public Relations Campaign of the Year” by the International Stevie Awards for Women in Business for its work on childhood obesity issues with Great Moves!, a pediatric obesity program formed in collaboration with the physicians of Children’s Hospital Boston.
