Art with a Heart, Inc presents The HeART of Baltimore: a “creative casual” fundraising event, at the Thames Street Wharf (1300 Thames Street) in Fells Point.
With an anticipated audience of over 300 guests, the celebration will feature a live jazz trio led by Mark Meadows, as well as cocktails and Baltimore-themed food stations (including Lombard Street, Little Italy and Greektown) from Zeffert & Gold Catering.
The silent auction with include such items as: a week’s stay for six at a Kiawah Island, SC vacation home, Disney World four-day park hopper passes, a Baltimore Ghost Tour for 35 people, a behind-the scenes tour and feeding at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for six, a tour and tasting for six at Charm City Cakes and lunch with Congressman Elijah Cummings.
Also up for bid are one-of a-kind, Baltimore-themed mannequins (including Frank Zappa, Divine, Paper Moon Diner and the Star-Spangled Banner) decorated in various artistic mediums by local artists and Art with a Heart teachers and volunteers.
Guests also can purchase artwork created by AWAH program participant and participate in the creation of a 5’ x 3’ heart mosaic that will be placed in the family waiting area of the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
